Center of Excellence for Watershed Management and Hydropower (CoE WAHYD) was established on 11 April 2016 based on The Decree of Rector UNJA Numb. 238/UN21/KS/2016. The establishment of CoE WAHYD was fully supported by Millenium Challenge Account Indonesia (MCA-I) through the Consortium of Higher Education for Green Indonesia (Konsorsium Perguruan Tinggi Untuk Indonesia Hijau, PETUAH).
To Become Leading and Trusted Center of Excellence (Pusat Unggulan Iptek Terkemuka dan Terpercaya) by 2025.
1) Institutional development to result in a trusted and reliable Center of Excellence, 2) Human resource development in the area of watershed management and hydropower use, 3) Excellent research development to result in green knowledge and technology, 4) Developing coordination with stakeholders in research in watershed management and hydropower use, 5) Application of knowledge and technology to manage watersheds and develop hydropower use, 6) Developing support facilities in management of watersheds and hydropower use.
1) To support collaboration among researchers related to management of watersheds and hydropower, 2) To develop multidisciplinary based on demand activity to overcome the degradation of watersheds and development of hydropower, 3) To develop and implement management of watersheds and hydropower use, 4) To provide technical and consultation services to solve the problem in watersheds degradation, and develop watershed and hydropower management advice.
